Before, during, and following childbirth, most women have many concerns regarding their health and fitness during this time of extensive hormonal and physical changes in their body. Professionals at LA PALESTRA have the knowledge and skill sets to implement specific programming, which prioritizes support of fetal development.
The Pregnancy Protocol is multi-faceted. Individuals meet with our registered dietitian each trimester, as well as post-partum, to address nutrient concerns specific to each of these phases. Behavioral therapists help to assess goals and expectations, as well as supporting improvement in quality of life during adjustment periods to physical, hormonal, and circumstantial changes. Through strong communication, our exercise specialists work collectively with these professionals to custom-design safe exercise programming for each individual to support fetal development, maintain physical work capacity, and improve recovery following childbirth.
